‘Fresh as a daisy, aromatic (island of perfumes), crisp, delightfully fruity, as pleasing an aperitif as you could wish to taste’. Nuances of white orchard citrus flowers - Grecanico & Catarrato grapes.
Riesling Trocken Qba 2013, Jesuitenhof (Pfalz)
Jesuitenhof's reputation has soared - Hugh Johnson's Wine Annual has an entry for Jesuitenhof, considering it an 'outstanding' source for value. This is a beautiful Riesling - bracing acidity is following by super lime & apple flavours with very impressive length. Great stuff!
Zibbibo DOC 2016, Alcesti Srl (Sicily)
Zibibbo is a perfumed wine with an exceptional flavour that brings to mind the colours and exotic fruits of the Mediterranean. Zibibbo is also much appreciated if accompanied by dessert; especially Sicilian cannoli, or ice cream or almond sweets’. Subtle residual sweetness – serve chilled.
Ardeche ‘Bouquet de Blanc’ 2016, Guy Farge (Rhone)
One third each Viognier, Roussanne & Marsanne. Round, charming &elegant. Marked by a soft, brioche character, accompanired by floral notes and green spcies and pastries. Finishes with apricot fruits and cool baked peaches (Viognier influence). A beautiful wine in every respect. Do not serve very cold – serve at 8-10°C.
Macon-Solutré ‘Le Clos’ 2017, Gerbeaux (Burgundy)
Is this Burgundy’s best Macon? In the 2017 vintage it just might be. Lovely mineral notes. On the palate this Macon is crisp, racy, richly fruity and has excellent balance of acidity. Raciness and finesse are the hallmarks here. Mineral, racy, elegant style.
Claude Val Blanc vdp 2016, Paul Mas (Languedoc)
Takes considerable wine making nous to blend Grenache, Vermentino, Chasan, Mauzac, Chenin & Sauvignon Blanc and produce a summer wine epitomising freshness, crunchy acidity, a light / easy texture and flavours of freshly crushed grapes. Very easy and just about perfect for this time of year.

Isola dei Profumi IGT 2016, Alcesti Srl (Sicily)
Made from a blend of local grapes including Nero d'Avola. Beautifully soft & supple. Supple, 'easy' fruit with red berry, violets, some cherry & lightly spiced notes. Lovely harmony of acidity, tannin & fruit, all beautifully balanced. The resulting mouthfeel & finish are gorgeous.
Cotes du Rhone ‘Amour des Fruits’ 2014, Pouizin (Rhone)
Bio-dynamic wine. Remi Pouizin’s wines are always energetic, exude grape aromas & flavours, are expressive & most of all, are strikingly FRESH. This is a 'bucketful' of soft berry fruit. Can be served slightly cool if preferred. This is a chemical free, oak free, hand-crafted wine.
Frappato DOC 2016, Alcesti Srl (Sicily)
‘Our star rating. A bright red wine, made from the indigenous Frappato grape, prized for its fresh &fruity notes of black cherries, blueberries and raspberries. Soft and wonderfully pure. Serve cool
Pinot Noir vdp 2016, Martinolles (Languedoc)
Former ‘Wine of the Week’ in the Irish Times. “It is light in texture but rich in fruit. Displays classic Burgundian characteristics of elegance, silkiness & subtle, earthy, gamey notes.” Serve @ 16°C.
Bourgogne Pinot Noir AC 2015, Charleux (Burgundy)
One of the greatest vintages in Burgundy in the past 30 years, this 2015 Bourgogne exudes ripe hedgerow fruits with thrilling fresh acidity & supple, grainy, very ripe, soft tannins. Serve @ 16°C.
Claude Val Red vdp 2017, Paul Mas (Languedoc)
